Miller-Davis Company

Miller-Davis Company was founded in 1909 and has been an integral part of building the most prominent buildings in the Southwest Michigan area. Miller-Davis challenged LKF Marketing to help them revamp their corporate identity.

Miller-Davis requested that the new image reflect the company's core values and its high standard for building and construction management services. LKF meticulously researched Miller-Davis, their competitors, and the industry as a whole to produce a strategic image position and corporate philosophy statement that would appeal to the target market. The final statement emphasized Miller-Davis' success at building long-term relationships with clients through teamwork, honest communication, and a passionate commitment.

This message was used as the basis of all projects for the company, including a new logo, website, letterhead, billboards, ads, direct mail pieces and job site signage. As a result of the new identity and corresponding projects, Miller-Davis has experienced increased awareness as indicated by more phone inquires, request for quotes and web traffic.

Website

The Miller-Davis website redesign features articles from knowledgeable employees, various projects throughout the area, and news about the company. The look and feel follows Miller-Davis' branding, which was also done by LKF.

Following the redesign, Miller-Davis' website traffic more than doubled. The company now uses their website as part of their sales force and enjoys the results they have seen. The site also won a WebAward!

Outdoor

LKF also incorporated an aggressive outdoor advertising campaign into the Miller-Davis marketing plan targeted at facilities managers to improve awareness for the company and generate more traffic to the company's newly redesigned website.

LKF designed a series of billboards and placed them strategically throughout Kalamazoo to serve as an oversized portfolio. The stunning finished products combine some of the company's most notable projects, such as the Fetzer Institute, Radisson, and Kalamazoo Transportation Center with the tagline "We Built That" and the company's web address.

Since the billboard campaign began in April 2007, Miller-Davis has received a sufficient spike in website traffic. Pageviews increased by 26%, pages per visit increased by 12%, and the total number of visitors to the site increased by 14%. A record number of hits occurred in the second month of the campaign and the overall number of visits went up by 83% in the months prior to the launch.
