Parchment School District High School Grand Opening Event
LKF was tasked with coordinating a celebratory event that appealed to a broad range of audiences from alumni to current students to community members.
The Parchment School District celebrated the opening of its newly renovated high school with a ribbon cutting, Tuesday, September 1, 2009. In addition to the ribbon cutting, Parchment High School celebrated its 50th anniversary with a variety of community activities.
The Parchment community was encouraged to join the festivities, which included student-guided tours and a gathering area for Parchment alumni to reconnect with their graduating classes. Free food and beverages were served in the new cafeteria. Attendees could also purchase personalized bricks for Parchment's "Legacy Lane" - the new entrance to the Parchment High School stadium. After the tours ended at 8:00 p.m. there was a student activity until 10:00 p.m.; parents were welcomed to attend.
LKF Marketing coordinated a number of aspects for the event, including:
- Custom invitations for VIPs
- Pre- and post-event PR
- Coordination of event supplies including ribbon, scissors, and signage
- Design special event cake
"This is an exciting day for Parchment," said Parchment School District Superintendent Matthew Miller. "This event commemorates our 50 year history, as well as celebrates the launch of the new high school. The building was built for this community to continue to educate our students in the best environment possible. This feat would not have been possible without the dedication of so many in our community for so long. This is our opportunity to thank them for their continued support and honor the legacy that alumni and friends provide."
