Symbolism Meets Service
When LKF Marketing was hired by Livingston County Veterans Services (LCVS), the first matter of business was to evaluate and refresh their brand. After a discovery meeting, LKF knew that updating the client’s visual identity would have to be the first step in the rebranding process. With that in mind, the recreation of LCVS’ logo began.
In terms of design, LKF chose a timeless look that audiences from all generations could relate to. A bald eagle serves as the logo’s base. This choice was made as the bird is heavily associated with our country and its military branches. Additionally, five stars representing the five military branches are featured along the top of the logo to build further associations with classic, American iconography.
The logo’s colors follow a red, white, and blue scheme to create a simple, eye-catching, and patriotic look.
As a whole, the finished product effectively represented LCVS’ role as an advocate for the needs of veterans residing in Livingston County.
Once the logo was completed, a style guide was created to demonstrate proper usage of their new logo.
In addition to being used on LCVS’ letterhead, the logo is also featured on articles of clothing, pens, cups, pins, and other promotional materials.
