Hastings approached LKF with creating a website with a twist. With hundreds of products available, Hastings wanted their website to be used as a tool by customers to easily spec any product Hastings offered. We designed a homepage as a user dashboard. The majority of interaction the user had with the site happened on the homepage, making it quick and easy for customers to find what they needed - which was mainly to find products.
LKF also utilized a tool to make the Hastings entire catalog accessible electronically via their website.
As for stats, once the new website was launched in early 2012 Hastings saw an increase in visits, with an increase of 14.05 percent for unique visitors. The number of pages viewed also increased by 43.5 percent, along with the number of pages users visited per visit. We also saw a 6.85-percent increase in new visits.
