LKF created a campaign promoting parks to residents and visitors.
When the City of Portage approached LKF for help promoting its parks and recreation resources, we set the project in motion with client input, strategy, content, concepts, and final artwork for a new campaign.
The recurring theme of "Your Backyard is Bigger Than You Think" is used to promote the use and ownership of parks within Portage. Paired with various images and descriptions of Portage parks and resources, the campaign appeals to a variety of activities and lifestyles.
So far ads for the campaign have been placed in the Discover Kalamazoo guide, Southwest Michigan Living, and Michigan Trails Magazine. Based on positive feedback, they will continue to be used as new advertising opportunities arise and can be easily modified to refer to specific parks and seasons. The campaign also works holistically with other City of Portage marketing materials.
